Yes! You can register for a new account on LinxApp and then you may use these details to log into either LinxApp or inLinx. Similarly if you already have an inLinx account, you can log into LinxApp with the same details. Find out more

To protect our younger users, LinxApp’s chatroom feature is not available to users under 18. In order for you to use this feature we are required to check your date of birth. Find out more

From the LinxApp main screen, click on your current photo in the top right hand corner.
This will take you to your profile menu.
Click on your profile photo and select an option.
‘Take photo’ will open your phone's camera screen, where you will also have access to our wide range of fun filters.
‘Choose photo’ will allow you to choose an image from your phone's gallery. Find out more

From the LinxApp main screen click on your current photo in the top right hand corner.
This will take you to your profile menu.
From here you can select account settings to change personal details.
You can also change your email, phone number and password from the profile menu. Find out more

When a user first sends you a message on LinxApp you must accept their message request before the conversation appears on your main screen.
From the main screen click on your profile photo in the top right hand corner.
This will take you to your profile menu.
Select ‘message requests’ from the menu.
From here you can see your pending message requests.
Click on a conversation and send a message to accept the request.
This conversation will now appear on your main screen. Find out more

From the LinxApp main screen click on your profile photo in the top right hand corner.
This will take you to your profile menu.
Click invite friends.
Select friends from your contact list and click ‘invite’ in the top right hand corner.
This allows you to send an SMS message to your contacts with a link for them to download the app. Find out more

This will take you to your profile menu.
Click suggested people.
This will suggest people from your contacts who are active on LinxApp as well as friends of your friends.
Click on a user's name to start a conversation. Find out more

From the LinxApp main screen click the search icon.
Type in and select a contact name.
Click on the bottom of the screen to open the keyboard and type in your message.
Click the arrow to send. Find out more

Open any conversation in LinxApp and select the paperclip icon.
Select whether you want to send a photo or video.
Choose files from your phone and click the tick to send.
You may select up to 50 photos at a time or 1 video smaller than 500mb. Find out more

For some very large files, it may take a little longer to upload a video to a LinxApp conversation. If you have a file that is uploading, keep the app running in the background of your phone to make sure that the video continues to upload. Find out more

When you send a message on LinxApp, the current time will appear on the right hand side along with an icon.
1 tick means that your message has been sent.
2 ticks means that your message has been delivered.
When your friend has read the message these ticks will change color depending on the theme you have selected. Find out more

In any LinxApp conversation identify the message you want to reply to.
While keeping a finger pressed on the message, slide to either the left or right of the screen.
The message will now appear at the bottom of the screen above the text box.
Write your message as normal and hit send.
Your reply will now appear preceded by the original message. Find out more

Open any LinxApp conversation and identify the message you would like to react to.
To like a message you can simply double tap the message.
For further options, press and hold on the message until the reaction menu appears
Click on one of the 8 reactions to send. Find out more

Yes. Simply press and hold on the message that you would like to remove your reaction from.
Click on a different option to change your reaction or click on the same one to delete it. Find out more

Open any LinxApp conversation and select the camera icon which will open your phone's camera.
Swipe left or right to choose your face filter.
Click on the round filter icon button to take a photo, or press and hold to take a video.
You can now either send, delete or download your new photo or video to your phone. Find out more

Open any LinxApp conversation.
To send a sticker, select the smiley face from the bottom toolbar, then click on the sticker you would like to send.
To send a gif, select the GIF icon from the bottom toolbar, then click on the gif you would like to send.
You can also search the gif library by selecting the magnifying glass within the GIF menu and searching for a word or phrase. Find out more

Open any LinxApp conversation and identify the microphone from the right side of the bottom toolbar.
Hold this icon while speaking.
Your message will be sent once you let go of the icon.
If you would like to cancel your audio message without sending, slide your finger left while holding the icon to cancel. Find out more

Open any LinxApp conversation and identify the message you would like to save.
Press and hold on the message until the bottom menu appears.
From this menu click the save icon to save your message. Find out more

Open a LinxApp conversation and click the 3 vertical dots in the top right hand corner.
This will open your conversation menu.
From here select ‘saved messages’ to view all messages saved within that conversation.
Saved messages are grouped into 5 categories: Messages, Links, Videos, Photos and Voice messages.
Move between categories by using the tabs at the bottom of the screen. Find out more

After a message has been sent on LinxApp there is an opportunity to delete the message for a short period of time.
Click and hold the message until the bottom menu appears and select the remove icon.
Click ‘remove for everyone’ to delete the message.
Nobody in the conversation will be able to see this message any longer.

After this period of time you still have the option to remove the message for yourself.
Click and hold the message until the bottom menu appears and select the remove icon.
Click ‘remove for me’.
Other conversation members will still be able to see this message but it will be hidden from your screen.
The ‘remove for me’ option is available for any message either sent by you or another conversation member. Find out more

Open a LinxApp conversation and click the 3 vertical dots in the top right hand corner.
This will open your conversation menu.
From here select search and type in your search term.
Click search.
All messages matching your search term will appear.
Click on a message to be taken to the message position within the conversation. Find out more

Open a LinxApp conversation and click the 3 vertical dots in the top right hand corner.
This will open your conversation menu.
Click on notifications.
You can now choose to mute the conversation for a set period of time or until you turn it back on. Find out more

LinxApp offers users the chance to customize every aspect of their conversation.
Every conversation can be unique with our wide range of backgrounds and colors.
Choose from our preset themes or create your own. Find out more

Open a LinxApp conversation and click the 3 vertical dots in the top right hand corner.
This will open your conversation menu.
Click ‘Theme’.
In the bottom bar under ‘LinxApp themes’ scroll left and right to view our preset themes.
Select a theme by clicking it and then clicking ‘save’ in the top right hand corner.
To select a custom theme click ‘My themes’ from the bottom bar.
Select a theme by clicking it and then clicking ‘save’ in the top right hand corner.
You can now choose whether to make the new theme visible to all conversation users or just you. Find out more

Open a LinxApp conversation and click the 3 vertical dots in the top right hand corner.
This will open your conversation menu.
Click ‘theme’.
From the bottom bar click ‘My themes’ and then ‘Create theme’.
Choose a background for your conversation by selecting either an image, colour or gradient from the ‘Background’ menu.
From the bottom bar click ‘Conversation style’ to open up further options.
From here you can choose the color of all features within your conversation.
Once you have finished making your theme click ‘create’ in the top right hand corner.
Name your theme and then click save.
You can now choose whether to make the new theme visible to all conversation users or just you. Find out more

Open a LinxApp conversation and click the 3 vertical dots in the top right hand corner.
This will open your conversation menu.
Click ‘theme’.
From the bottom bar click ‘My themes’.
Press and hold on the theme you would like to remove and then click ‘delete’. Find out more

Open a LinxApp conversation and click the 3 vertical dots in the top right hand corner.
This will open your conversation menu.
Click ‘theme’.
From the bottom bar click ‘My themes’.
Press and hold on the theme you would like to edit and then click ‘edit’.
Make changes to your theme from the bottom bar and when you are ready click ‘save’.

From the LinxApp main screen select the plus icon in the top right hand corner.
Select or type the name of each person to add them to the group.
To remove members click the cross at the top of their profile photo.
Click the arrow in the bottom right hand corner to create your group.
Enter a name for your group and click the arrow.
Now you can choose a group photo.
Either take a photo, choose one from your phone gallery or pick one of our icons to represent your group. Find out more

From inside the LinxApp group conversation click the 3 vertical dots in the top right hand corner.
This will open your group conversation menu.
Click ‘leave group’.
Confirm that you want to leave the group by selecting ‘leave’ on the pop up box.
You will then be asked if you would like to delete the group. If you choose no then you will still see the group on your main page and reference old messages but no longer be able to post or see new messages.
If you select delete then the group will be completely removed from your main page. Find out more

Note only group admins may remove a member from the group.
From inside the LinxApp group conversation click the 3 vertical dots in the top right hand corner.
This will open your group conversation menu.
Click on ‘members’
Click on the 3 vertical dots next to the name of the person you want to remove from the group.

Note only group admins may make other members admins.
From inside the LinxApp group conversation click the 3 vertical dots in the top right hand corner.
This will open your group conversation menu.
Click on ‘members’
Click on the 3 vertical dots next to the name of the person you want to remove from the group.

The LinxApp chatroom is a first of its kind worldwide messaging room which offers users the chance to communicate with anyone, anywhere, at any time. The chatroom allows users to connect with different, interesting people from around the world, whether you’re looking to make new friends, a new pen pal or a new relationship. Find out more

From the LinxApp main screen click on the chatroom tab from the bottom bar.
If it is your first time entering the chatroom you will be asked whether you want to join using your real name and photo, or with a fun nickname and avatar.
You will also be asked to confirm either your email address or phone number depending on the method you use to login.
Finally you will be asked to accept the LinxApp chatroom guidelines.
These processes help to protect the chatroom from spammers and ensure that it remains an enjoyable environment for everyone.

If you are under 18 you will not be able to see the LinxApp chatroom or use this feature.
If you are over 18 and still can't see it, open your profile menu by clicking on your profile photo in the top right hand corner of the main screen.
Click ‘chatroom tab’.
Click the slider to ‘on’.
Back on the main screen you will now see the chatroom tab at the bottom. Find out more

From the LinxApp main screen click on your profile photo in the top right hand corner.
This will take you to your profile menu.
Click ‘chatroom tab’.
Click the slider to ‘off’.
The chatroom tab will now be hidden and you will not receive messages or notifications from other chatroom users. Find out more

When you first enter the LinxApp chatroom you will be given the choice to enter using your real name and photo or a fun nickname and avatar.
Using a nickname gives you more control over the amount of data you share and you will be completely anonymous to other users in the chatroom.
For example, if you start a private conversation with a chatroom member and you are using a nickname they will not discover who you are unless you decide to tell them.
Even if you are already friends with this user outside of the chatroom, the conversations will appear separately on your main screen!

On the other hand you may choose to use your real name and photo to increase the chance of being found by somebody you know in the chatroom. The choice is completely up to you. Find out more

Currently you cannot switch between using your real name and using a nickname in the chatroom after your initial selection. Find out more

Start a conversation with a LinxApp chatroom member by conducting a search or clicking on a users profile photo inside the chatroom and then selecting ‘send message’.
If you are using a nickname in the chatroom then this is completely anonymous. Even if you are already friends with this user, they will receive a new message request and you can start a new conversation where they will only see your chatroom nickname.
Once the other user has accepted the message request, the conversation will now appear on your main screen.
The world icon next to the users name and the different default theme highlights this conversation as an anonymous chatroom conversation. Find out more

Enter the chatroom by clicking on the chatroom tab from the main screen.
Click the search icon in the top right hand corner.
Filter your search by selecting gender, age and location of other chatroom users.
Don’t forget to tick the box to make sure you are notified when new people join the chatroom who match your search.

Click on a user from your list of matches to start a private conversation. Find out more

Yes. Enter the chatroom by clicking on the chatroom tab from the main screen.
Click the settings icon in the top right hand corner.
Select ‘privacy’ and click the slider to ‘on’ to hide yourself from the chatroom search. Find out more

If you have selected to use a nickname in the chatroom you may change this nickname at any time.
Enter the LinxApp chatroom by clicking on the chatroom tab from the main screen.
Click the settings icon in the top right hand corner.
Click on the pen icon next to your current nickname.
Enter your new nickname and click save. Find out more

If you have selected to use a nickname in the LinxApp chatroom you may change your photo at any time.
Enter the LinxApp chatroom by clicking on the chatroom tab from the main screen.
Click the settings icon in the top right hand corner.
Click on your current photo and select an option.
‘Take photo’ will open your phone's camera screen where you can take a photo and access our range of fun filters.
‘Choose photo’ will allow you to choose an image from your phone's gallery.
If you have selected to use your real name then your photo will be the same as your account profile photo. Find out more

Open the LinxApp chatroom and identify the message you would like to report.
Press and hold on the message until the bottom menu appears.
Click ‘report’ and select the reason for reporting the message.
Click ‘report’ and our team will be notified. Find out more

Enter the LinxApp chatroom by clicking on the chatroom tab from the main screen.
Click the settings icon in the top right hand corner.
Click on ‘notifications’
From here you can set your preferences for a number of chatroom notifications. Find out more

Open a LinxApp conversation and click the 3 vertical dots in the top right hand corner.
This will open your conversation menu.
Click ‘report’ and select the reason for reporting the user.
Click ‘report’ and our team will be notified. Find out more

Open a LinxApp conversation and click the 3 vertical dots in the top right hand corner.
This will open your conversation menu.
Click ‘block’.
Confirm that you want to block this user by clicking ‘block’ on the popup.
This person will no longer be able to contact you.
To unblock a user, enter a conversation with them and click ‘Unblock user’ at the bottom of the screen.
Confirm that you wish to unblock this user.

If you have blocked a user on LinxApp, they will no longer be able to contact you and you won't be able to contact them.
You will no longer appear on searches performed by the blocked user. Find out more

An account is normally suspended if the user has violated the Terms of Service. Find out more

From the Login screen, click ‘forgotten password’.
Enter the email address or phone number registered with your LinxApp account.
You will then receive a link with instructions to reset your password. Find out more

In very rare events, where some messages are missing or information is not up to date we recommend that you resync your account.
From the LinxApp main screen click on your profile photo to open your profile menu.
Click the refresh icon in the top right hand corner and wait for the synchronisation to complete. Find out more

There are several ways to stay safe on LinxApp.
Report inappropriate activity both within the chatroom and in private chats.
Block users that you don’t want to hear from.
Ensure your privacy settings are up to date.
Never share personal information with people you don’t know.
Be aware of scams and report any suspicious activity immediately.
